BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Jenna James

I am a former middle school and high school teacher whose passion to help students never left when I left the classroom. Being able to support teachers, staff, students and administrators through the PUSD Education Foundation is a dream come true for me.
Paul Kirchgraber

Paul Kirchgraber

Executive Director

I am a ten-year resident of Prescott having moved here from Tempe, AZ with my wife, Melinda, in 2010 and most recently served as the executive director of the Yavapai College Foundation.

Why did I get involved? Because members of the PUSD Education Foundation are passionate about enhancing the educational experiences of our Prescott public school students. To do this, we must bring together private philanthropic and community support in order to assist our amazing teachers and their academic initiatives.

Stan Goligoski

Programs Committee

My wife and I are both PUSD alumni and know firsthand the tremendous education we received. The sense of community and life lessons we learned while growing up have stayed with us as we continued our education and throughout our careers. Many of our revered teachers, coaches, and administrators continue to be mentors to us and we feel so fortunate to be a part of the PUSD Education Foundation to ensure our experiences are passed down to our children as they are being raised in this amazing community of committed educators.

Rebecca Horniman

Development Committee

I am a proud PUSD Alum and my family and I are very happy to be back in Prescott. It is important for me to live in a community that values and supports education the way Prescott does. I truly believe that every child deserves the best education possible and it is my honor for me to volunteer my personal passion and professional experience for education and serve on The Foundation board.

Deb Gallegos

Marketing Committee

I grew up in Prescott and attended Sacred Heart Catholic School, Prescott Junior High School (now Prescott Mile High Middle School) and Prescott High School. Go Badgers!

I’ve traveled the world, but Prescott has always been my home. I have loved helping our school district through the Foundation with my video, photography, and web design skills since the founding of PUSDEF.

Carol Yetman

Programs Committee

I knew in third grade that I wanted to be a teacher. I had the privilege of “dealing in futures” for thirty-two years as a classroom teacher. Public education is my passion. As a member of the Foundation board I am able to continue contributing my support to the students and teachers in our community.

Ed Walsh

Finance & Governance Committee

I have been a supporter of public education because I believe every child should be given an opportunity for a life-changing education. My wife and I have sent 3 children to PUSD schools and we have been thrilled with the education and the character building they have received. A healthy public school system is essential for Prescott to continue to be a vibrant community for families and retirees.

Mike Daniels, Esq.

Development Committee

As a former juvenile prosecutor, and now as a criminal defense attorney, I know that lack of education is a predictive factor of an individual’s likely involvement in the criminal justice system.  I am involved with the Foundation because it promotes and supports education which, in turn, keeps kids out of the system and on the road to success.

Ginger Nolte

Vice President of Programs Committee

The PUSD Education Foundation holds a very special place in my heart.  I grew up in Prescott, I attended Prescott Public Schools and after becoming a teacher, I returned to Prescott to teach for PUSD.  I am passionate about education and it is amazing to witness the innovative activities that are occurring in our classrooms daily. It is an honor to be a part of this Foundation and be able to give back and support our community’s children and teachers. It takes a village and the partnerships between our community, the District and the Foundation have proven to continue to elevate the excellence in our greatest asset, our children.

Krista Carman

Vice President of Board Development

I am, and have been, a supporter of public schools for most of my adult life.  I started out as a special education teacher in the public schools and continue to work as an advocate for public schools.  PUSD is an amazing school district that achieves great results given very tight financial constraints – I am thrilled to support the teachers, students, administrators, and staff at PUSD through this Foundation.

I graduated from Grand Canyon High School before moving to Prescott to attend Yavapai College. I graduated from Yavapai College and went on to NAU in Flagstaff to complete a bachelor’s degree in Electronic Media, Audio/Video Production and Engineering. David Klever

Development Committee

My wife and I moved here from southern Arizona and chose PUSD schools for our sons who both went on to graduate from Prescott High School.  I am a strong advocate of public education at all levels believing that every child deserves the best education possible. The foundation is a great way to support our educators and I am proud to be part of this organization.

Stacey Haggart

Secretary

I am actively committed to my family and community with a particular interest in how public education shapes children’s lives, environment, and long-term positive outcomes. Providing leadership in these areas while raising a family and managing a small business are my most rewarding endeavors. In addition to being a wife, mom, community servant-leader, and business owner, myself and my family enjoy performing arts, travel, and competitive sailboat racing.

Molly Hohrein

Development Committee

I am a Prescott transplant from the Midwest and have lived here for over 22 years. My husband and I decided to raise our two children in Prescott because of the “small town” atmosphere. We have one child who has gone through the private and charter schools in the area and our other child has been in the Prescott schools since kindergarten. Having children in two different education venues gave me the desire to want to help our public education system be the best that it can be. Being able to help support all the PUSD teachers, staff, students and administrators is the least I can do for all they do to play a role in this community.

Programs Committee

Connie Donovan, EdD

Programs Committee

As member of the governing board of PUSD, I volunteered to act as liaison to the Foundation on behalf of the Board. I have had experience doing this, as I was foundation president for a similar-size public school district in the Chicago area. While the two districts have different demographics and needs, I thought I might be able to help with ideas for generating interest and, hopefully, funds for PUSD.

Vice President of Finance & Governance Committee
