Connects generous hearts with the needs of our teachers and students

Ignites the power of community

Elevates the long-term success of Every Child, Every Day

The 4,126 children of Prescott Unified School District are blessed with great teachers and a wonderful community to grow up in.  Our school district and Teachers are challenged with limited resources to provide for the best educational experience and to prepare them to be the greatest contributors to our society.

This is where we come in to help.

What We Do

We cultivate innovation to benefit students and staff and to enhance the mission of the school district.

We support activities not funded by tax revenue via programs related to classroom learning and college readiness.

We solicit funding from private and corporate sources to help us fund our programs that enhance student learning.

We award funding to local school district (PUSD), staff and students as determined by a volunteer committee.

PUSD Education Foundation is a non-profit foundation whose mission is to support the Prescott Unified School District through providing funding for innovative teaching, recognizing exemplary students and teachers, and involving our community in the passionate work of improving education for all students.  We began as a true grassroots startup with some involved parents and community members who had grown tired of the educational funding crisis in Arizona. We knew our community would support our schools if we gave them an opportunity to do so. And so it began…and now it continues with exciting partnerships to bring hope to our students, true college and career readiness opportunities for our district, and expanding to hire staff and continue to develop into the Foundation we have been working to create.

How does PUSDEF benefit our schools?

The foundation supports student programs, projects and initiatives that do not receive tax-based funding. It also promotes and recognizes academic excellence by students and innovative instruction by teachers and staff.

How does PUSDEF benefit the community?

Businesses are attracted to communities with effective, strongly-supported public schools. The Foundation is a public expression of community support and builds bridges between schools and the community, and between current leaders and the leaders of tomorrow.
