Amanda Bia & Cari Greco

The second of our 2017 Rising Stars, Prescott High School senior Amanda Bia, nominates her choice for Distinguished Educator – Learning Center Instructor Cari Greco.

Amanda Bia‘s future plans include attending college to study Early Childhood Education.

I came to Prescott High School last year during the beginning of the second semester as an 11th grader. I was really struggling with school and living in a new city. I was really shy and scared. Because I have an IEP (Individualized Education Program,) I was put in Ms. Greco’s Learning Center to help me become successful in my classes.

Ms. Greco made me feel really comfortable. I started to trust her and knew if I asked her for help, she would be there for me. She pushes me to do well no matter how hard I think school is. I feel like Ms. Greco will always be there for me and be someone on my side.

Thank you Ms. Greco for helping me do my best and pushing me even when I thought things were too hard.

Cari Greco

Distinguished Educator, Learning Center

Amanda is one of the hardest working students I have ever worked with. Amanda has a caring and loving heart and plans to utilize these characteristics as a preschool teacher. I think she is an amazing young lady and I am so glad I have had the opportunity to be her teacher.
